Memories were made

The weekend was a hit. Well like I said in the previous post, my family and some friends of ours went to Cow pasture River (much nicer then it sounds, I promise) :)  Fun was had by all. I took lots of pictures. All of the pictures of us canoeing were on my friends camera so I don't really have any of those to post.
I might have a photo dump so please excuse all the pictures. I still want to learn how to do a photo collage, if anyone knows how to do that or what site I should use, please fill me in.

I wanted to start reading the Hunger Games this weekend while I was at the River and had full intentions on doing so but with three toddlers under the age of 4 that just was not in the cards for me. As relaxing as the trip was, that just wasn't going to happen. Speaking of the Hunger Games, I entered a giveaway and won a one of a kind necklace made by a fellow blogger I follow who I ADORE. She has an Etsy shop where she makes beautiful custom jewelry and head pieces and pins and all sorts of wonderful pretty things.  This necklace is inspired by the Hunger Games. How cool is that?!?!?! Check it out. Yeah, I'm pretty darn excited and I haven't even read the book yet but I know it will be that more special to me now. YAY me!!

Now for photos from this weekend.

Well the pictures are all over the place and not in any real sequence. I need help on that part too apparently. HA!!

I'm sure glad we had this weekend together. Cooper LOVED every second of it and got down and dirty. Just like a true little boy. Just to see his sweet smile and the excitement he showed was a true joy. We definitely will be going back sooner then later.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

I forgot to say, Happy Valentines. I found this great new app on my IPhone. Its called Red Stamp. Love it.

MIA

Oh My Goodness.
Well, as you can see I have been MIA for almost a year. Not that I've been missing from the blog world of reading, just writing.
I never said I was any good at this, and lets be honest, NO ONE reads my blog any way. I have 2 followers and have had like no page views. So really whats the point?  The point really is, is it should just be for me and my thoughts and I guess that's really what I should focus on anyways, right? Right!!!
So I really need to take more time and write down whats going on in my life so that way I have a journal of my everyday happenings. WAIT, who am I kidding, more like a week to a month on my happenings.
I need to start making this about chronicling my son, Coopers life and all the shenanigans he gets into...ha!! He will be 3 next month. 3 REALLY??? I cant believe it. He is such an amazing little man. He has grown up so fast and is saying the cutest and darnedest things ever. Its quite comical actually.
He definitely has and attitude and has no problem showing it with kicking, hitting and screaming. Please tell me I'm not the only one?? Please?!?! :)
I love that lil man of mine to pieces. Here is a recent pic of him at Christmas getting his new bike from Santa. He was sooo excited.  So I will try my hardest to update this more then just once or twice a year. I cant promise it will be all that exciting or even if anyone will read but at least I have it for myself and thats all that matters, right? Right! :)

Until next blog

Unimaginable

I am obsessed with reading blogs. I get on everyday and read my blogs I follow. There are a few in particular that I follow that I should never have started following. I say that in the fact that they are sad. What I mean by that is, some of these blogs involve loss, loss of a child. I don't know why I started reading them, I cant even begin to tell you how I came across them but what I do know is that I'm drawn to these peoples lives and there struggles. Is that weird??? For example there is a mother named Kellie http://kandjstaats.blogspot.com/ who's 4 month old daughter Maddie died of SIDS and her blog is about her daughters legacy and her struggles. OK, so my son isn't anywhere near the threat of SIDS anymore, so WHY do I read these blogs? Or there is a girl name Tiffany http://thebrokenroad-tiffany.blogspot.com/ whose daughter Ellie also past way from an undiagnosed spleen issue. It is soooo sad. I read these blogs and lift them up in prayer everyday and I think of them and how awful it must be to lose a child. I cant even imagine the grief. Maybe that's why I came across these blogs to lift them up in prayer, because God know they need a lot of prayer and support. Then I think maybe there is a reason I read these blogs. (I mean heck I don't even know these people but I feel like I do.) Maybe its because its makes me appreciate my family and my son just a little more then I would have if not for these people and there loss. It definitely has made me Cherish Every Moment!!.
There a few others I follow as well. You can check them out on my page and see for yourself why I am so drawn to them.  I hope and pray with ALLLLLL my might that I NEVER have to know there struggle. That is my one true fear. I'm sure as some of you parents know that fear I speak of. Its so unimaginable.
So today, hold your son, daughter, husband, wife, or loved one and tell them you love them and really live in the moment.

Until next blog...

Birthday boy!

Tuesday March 22 was Cooper's 2nd birthday. I took half a day off of work to spend time with him.
He went to Mother's Day Out and had a cute Birthday party. I brought cupcakes for the kids and his teacher, Mrs. Day made him his very own crown. It was really adorable. He didnt care to much for it and didnt wear it long but I did manage to get a few pics of him wearing it.

Here are some pics with him and the kids from MDO.

Then after I got off work we did a little family thing for him. Nothing major or big. I figured I can only get away with doing this, this year, after this birthday there will probably be parties instead.
So we just ordered some pizza and had cake and ice cream for him. He did NOT like us singing happy birthday to him for some reason. I will have to upload the video of that, pretty funny if you ask me. lol!
Oh and he didnt want to sit still long enough to open presents, he only wanted to be outside so we brought the gifts to him outside instead. It was so beautiful out so I thought why not.

Big boy cut. :)

COOPER GOT HIS HAIRCUT!!!!!
I know, Craziness I tell you.
I finally took him and got it all chopped off.  Zach was not a happy camper let me tell ya. He didn't talk to me for half the afternoon. EEKKK!! Oh well he will get over it I'm sure. Besides Coop looks adorable. Plus it will be so much simpler to take care of when we go to the beach in the next few months.
He does look like a lil man now and not so much like a baby, so that makes me a little sad but he will be two tomorrow so I thought he needed a "big boy" haircut.
So besides the haircut, we had a great weekend. The weather was nice so we took Cooper to the park on Saturday and he loved it of course, heck I loved it. I even got in on the action and got on the swings. I havent done that in forever. It was absolutely gorgeous outside and I couldnt help myself. Cooper thought it was funny that mommy was swinging. He is such a big boy now *tear* He went down the slide all by himself. I of course took pics of him at the park but I will have to upload them when I get home (so check back for those) In the mean time, here is some of me on the swing that Zach took.

So after the park (cooper DID NOT want to leave) we went to dinner and then came home and had a relaxing night.
Sunday was the big haircut day. Hooray for big boy haircuts.

I love this boy with every ounce of my being. Mommy loves you more then her heart can hold little man. <3
